On Fri., June 23rd 2017, the Dr. Lydia Peschel Memorial Prize was awarede for the first time to Michael Buchsteiner for his BSc-thesis. Michael worked for his BSc-thesis in April and May of 2016 under the guidance of Lydia on our W project. He more than fulfilled all of our expactions and therefore was chosen as the first candidate to receive the award. The award and the prize money were handed out to him in the presence Lydia's familiy as well as the department head Prof. K. Francesconi.
